George T. Penn AKA "DJ Scramble," was born in Erie PA.  From an early age, George exhibited an interest in all things mechanical.  Also, he showed an interest in entrepreneurial & entertainment endeavors.  Often, as a child, George, his sisters, and the other neighborhood kids would produce skits, carnivals, and shows, for their baby-sitters, parents, and other neighborhood kids. 

At the age of 6, George created his first “mix tape,” complete with voice-over.  At 7, he figured out how to use his dad’s stereo to entertain the neighborhood with live performances.  When he was 10, he saw the chance to make money by establishing a lawn mowing/snow removal service in Lake Shore, a golf course community in Fairview PA.  George ran this business until he was 12, and his family moved to Kennewick.

George attended school in Kennewick, where he was elected class president of the Tri-City Area Vocational Skills Center.  (Not bad, considering that at election time, he was in Cypress CA attending Yamaha Motorcycle Mechanics factory training.)  He and his executive council held a very successful dance at the vocational center in the spring of 1983.  From that point on, he was struck with “dance fever,” always trying to create the perfect party.

While attending CBC in 1985, George and two friends started WFO (Wild & Fun Operations) productions, and began producing events in this area.  In 1986, The Dance Machine was “born” through a promotional agreement with then top 40 radio station KIOK 94.9 (OK95.)  At the same time, George entered into production/management agreements with several live acts, touring the northwest, learning all aspects of live music production, all while continuing to produce DJ events in and around Tri-Cities.

In 1989, George “retired” from the road to concentrate on DJ events and nightclub work.  Then in 1994, he was able to add video display services to his company’s suite of services.  This enabling him to establish relationships, and do video display work with several high profile companies such as; Ford Motor Co., Hyundai Computer, Software Support, Rossignol, Volkswagen of America, Busch Creative Services, CompuServe, The Vancouver Grizzlies, and many other smaller companies.

In 1998, George signed a promotional agreement with A Tri-Cities Radio Station and had produced high quality entertainment, co-branding, with their name.  Recently, he entered into a promotional agreement with OK95Radio.com.  To date he has produced over 2,039 shows of all kinds, including recently running sound for The Commitments, Seven In The Sun, and Young MC.  George also worked as the stage manager for Yakima’s 4^th of July fireworks celebration in 2003.

George has also been the driving force behind a series of boat race parties, Boat Race Party Central, held at the Pasco Red Lion.  These events have been huge, often selling out to capacity of 1,000 people.  In 2004, George and Danny G helped set the tone for a nightclub called the Jungle.  In 2005, he worked as the Production Director for the OK 95 Birthday Bash, featuring Ton Loc, Young MC & Sir Mix-A-Lot, and the OK 95 Hydro Jam, with Coolio.  George was also responsible for DJ services at The Fever Victory Party.
