DJ’s > Premier

Born in 1974, in the city of Downey CA, Dominic Sanchez AKA "DJ Premier" became musically aware at an early age.  Some of Dominic’s earliest memories of music come from spending time with his older brother, in and around southern California.   Dominic and his brother would often buy “mix tapes” from street vendors in the LA area.

From these tapes, Dominic listened to, and learned what the Party DJs were playing, and how they mixed the music together.  Dominic took this knowledge, and at the tender age of 12, started making his own tapes.  At first the tapes he made were for girlfriends, but before long he was making tapes for his friends too.

Dominic soon started playing at house parties in the Long Beach/Redondo Beach area, which he did until he moved to Pasco WA during his Jr. year in high school.  After visiting the Tri-City Area Vocational center, and examining the Radio/TV program, he decided that he would rather work live with people, than in a room with equipment.

After meeting area DJ, Ricochet at TAVC, Dominic was able to start doing DJ events in the area.  His first was the Christmas dance at Pasco High School, in 1989.  From there, he started doing more events with Rick.  In the summer of 1994, he took on his first assignment as a fill-in DJ at Details Bar & Grill.  Dominic was given a chance to audition. 

The next weekend, he had a regular position with the club, which he held for two years before moving on.  The Forum Sports Restaurant, recruited him, and he worked as a resident DJ, until the establishment closed.

Dominic has been free-lancing with this company since 1997.  Dominic is a true professional.  Always concerned with the needs of the customer.  People regularly request his presence at events.  He has secured for this company one of our longest lasting commercial accounts with 321Deal.com & Appleway Toyota.

Dominic hosted comedy and was the resident DJ for a few years at a local Richland nightspot, working with nationally known comics that had been featured on HBO, ShowTime, MTV and Comedy Central.  Often his hosting duties included acting as the M.C. for the various comedy competitions held at that venue.

In addition to the above accomplishments, he has been involved with some of X-Productions larger events.  Boat Race Party Central II, III, IV, & V, some of the recent 3 on 3 basket ball events and many other promotional events.
