The DANCE MACHINE
LOCAL 509.308.6631 Pricing Structure
In 1985 this company was started with a single idea, to provide quality entertainment at an affordable price. This is still how we operate. Our prices are lower than some, and higher than others.
We pass the savings on to you!
What is a dollar worth?
Pricing is always a sticky subject. When we started doing this in 1985, the average price for an event was $275.00, or in today's dollars $500.00. This was for a primitive sound and light system, and as entertainers, by today's standards... we stunk. Thinking back, this company had a grand total of $3,500.00 of equipment, or $6,373.00 in today's dollars. Through the years, countless hours of experience have been earned by this company & technology has improved. Does anybody remember cassette tape?
You get what you pay for.
Not always. In today's world, someone could go out with $2,000.00 and start a DJ company. Does this make them a DJ? NO!!! This makes them a person with some DJ equipment. They did not buy the skills needed to make their cheap set-up sound good, or look good. They most certainly did not buy a legal, licensed music library with their investment. They do not have the skills needed, to "read" a room, mix music or sound, talk on the Mic, or know the etiquette required for many different social situations. The Dance Machine offers "Quality entertainment at an affordable price." Ask our competition if they will take the Dance Machine Challenge.
What goes into a job.
There are many factors in producing an event from the entertainers side. These are some of the things the general public does not see.
Pre-show prep - At least 1/2 hour goes into each show preparing the music list for your show.
Technical - All equipment must pass "pre-flight," by our technical services crew, typically, another hour is put into this task.
Set-up - This phase will normally take between 1.5 to 4 hours, depending on the size of the show. In some cases, extra staff from our company may be required for this task. Some of our equipment weighs 200 pounds. Our company policy, is that all equipment will be set before your first guest arrives.
Performance - This is the part of the Job that every one sees. 2 to 6 hours.
Tear down - This phase will normally take between 1 & 2.5 hours, again, depending on the size of the show. Extra staff from our company may be required, due to equipment size.
Transportation - Figure the time it would take to get to and from your location from down-town Richland Washington.
The Dance machine has between 5 to 14 hours into each show, not counting transportation.
